Saxon Cav....again

I had showed some pics of the 1806 Saxon cav I painted up earlier but they didn't have the flags attached. Well now I have the flags and I've been able to also put a couple of coats of clear lacquer on them. So on to the pics with the flags.....
That's all for now. I'm back to painting those SYW figures for my friend. Thanks for stopping by.

I've been painting up some of the Eureka Wars of the French Revolution figures lately. As always they are a joy to paint. This round I've painted up a unit of Hungarian Infantry. Enough said, on to the pictures.....

I have only two small complaints about the figures -

1. The thigh knots do not stand out very well as compared to other manufacturers.

2. The buttons stand out too much! They look like small nipples on the figures which makes them hard to paint to look like a button.

I'm going to be painting some SYW figures for a friend of mine and after that I plan on working on some 1806 Prussians by Elite Miniatures. Thanks for stopping by.

And I also have painted up some 28mm WWII

Here are some pics of my Bolt Action WWII early war French.  I have 4 groupe de combat or squads of 12 men each.  I painted up the helmets in both the dark green and the khaki brown as written sources say all helmets had been repainted before the war but color pics of captured French soldiers show some in green.  So, on to the pics.....

The French Napoleonic pictures are below this one......

I really have been busy.....

I really have been busy and not just with work.  I've finished up a couple of new units.  Both Napoleonic.  I have completed another French infantry unit from the Elite Miniatures 30mm French Revolutionary range.  What I've decided to do is to start painting them all in a standard look and not in the rough campaign look of the Revolution.  That way I could use them up through 1807 which then leads me to my second unit.  I painted up another Elite unit but this is from their 28mm Napoleonic range - early Saxons.  I've painted up a unit of Saxon Cuirassier.  Enjoy and all comments are welcome.  Next on the painting table is a unit of Eureka Hungarian Fusiliers......

and now for the Saxon cavalry -

Flags for the French are by The Flag Dude.  I'm waiting on my order from The Flag Dude for the Saxons but I decided to go ahead and post pics of the figures now.  Thanks for looking.

Latest French Revolutionary Figures - Austrian Infantry

Here is the latest unit I've painted for my French Revolutionary project.  These are Elite Miniatures from their 1796 range.  The are considered 30mm figures and they have nice animation to them.  The flags are from The Flag Dude.  I plan on painting up a unit of Hungarians from the Eureka Miniatures 'Wars of the French Revolution' range.  I really do like the looks of those figures and I'm looking forward to completing that unit.  However, I'm currently working on a batch of 28mm Bolt Action WWII French infantry for a skirmish game we are planning to put on for our May game day.  Enough said, on to the pics....

Units for SALE!

I am selling three 24 figure WSS units.  They are all Germans in French service so they are in blue coats and all with yellow facings.  The figures are all Foundry and I am asking $5 per figure which I think is a very fair price so each unit will cost $120 + shipping costs (sorry but I cannot absord that).  I'm willing to ship anywhere but obviously you've got to be willing to pay my price + shipping.  You can contact me at: 18th_century_guy@comcast.net if you are interested.  Below are some pictures -

Thank you for looking and I may put more if my WSS collection up for sale in the next few months so keep checking back.
